The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team that competes in the National Football League (NFL).
After receiving almost 400 design submissions from fans, the Cleveland Browns have revealed the top five finalists for their new Dawg Pound logo. The franchise asked fans to submit and vote on designs three weeks ago, and the leading vote-getter was Emily Morgan’s design, which features a “CLE” wordmark on the dog’s neck.
The top five designs
Graphic designer, Houston Mark’s Mastiff-inspired design, which finished 14th in the fan vote, was still selected by the Browns as the finalist. The final five designs include three local submissions, all of which feature the Browns’ helmet stripe on their forehead and their teeth bared. Two of the designs are forward-facing, while the other shows the dog’s profile.
Final round of voting for Dawg Pound logo
The final round of voting will begin on May 10 and will run through early June. The Dawg Pound has had three logos since the Browns were revived in 1999, with the current design debuting in 2015. This marks the franchise’s fourth logo for the Dawg Pound.
